Hard Chrome Plating
Hard chrome plating involves heavy coatings of chromium in order to provide wear resistance, oil retention and lubricity. It is not decorative and is instead used to add durability to such things as piston rings, hydraulic cylinder rods, thread guides and moulds. Hard chrome plating has useful applications in a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, marine, and medical.
Specification AMS -QQ-C-320and SAE AMS 2460 is the most widely used in chrome plating for dynamic services.
